Alexis Korner (19 April 1928 - 1 Jan 1984) born in Paris to an Austrian father and a Greek mother arrived in London in 1940, at the start of the Second World War. A pioneering blues musician, he was a major influence on the sound of the British music scene in the 60 sduring which time he was instrumental in bringing together various English Blues players as awell as bringing many American blues artists to England to perform He formed Blues Incorporated, a loose -knit group of musicians with a shared love of electric blues and R&B
