Neon Neon is a collaboration between Gruff Rhys, (Super Furry Animals) and left field hip-hop producer, Boom Bip. They first worked together in 2005 when Rhys added vocals to one of Boom Bip's tracks, 'Do's and Dont's' Neon Neon's style is dancey electro pop influenced by '80's new wave, Prince and Kraftwerk amogst others. They have called upon artists like Spank Rock, Yo Majesty, Har Mar Superstar and the Magic Numbers to contribute to their sound. Their debut album, 'Stainless Style' was released 24th March '08, and is themed around the life of carmaker, John Delorean!!!
