Dierks Bentley (born November 20, 1975 in Phoenix, Arizona) is a country music singer-songwriter. Signed to Capitol Records in 2003, Dierks made his debut with the single "What Was I Thinkin'", which reached Number One on the U. S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts that year. The single was followed by the release of Dierks' eponymous debut album, which was soon certified platinum. Bentley's most recent album, Long Trip Alone, was released in late 2006 and has been certified gold.
