Armor for Sleep is an American band from Maplewood and Teaneck, New Jersey. Lead singer Ben Jorgensen recorded the first ever Armor for Sleep songs in exchange for $100 at a nearby recording studio, playing all the instruments by himself, after leaving the band Random Task, in which he played drums. Ben and Anthony fired the drummer and guitarist of Random Task and asked Nash Breen, drummer of Prevent Falls, to join Armor for Sleep. Nash quit Prevent Falls and asked his cousin, P. J. DeCicco, also of Prevent Falls to come with him to Armor for Sleep. There were two original members of the band that left early on. Drummer A. J. Resnick and Guitarist Paul Abrahamian.
