'The River' is a song by the pop punk band Good Charlotte featuring Synyster Gates and M. Shadows of the band Avenged Sevenfold. The song was the first single off of the Good Morning Revival album in North America. It is believed that the song references the band as well as the two members of Avenged Sevenfold to be Christians. The members of the band also have tattoos of several religious Christian images such as 'The Last Supper' on Benji Madden's forearm. Avenged Sevenfold's songs also have references to some words in the Bible, as does their name.
