Good Charlotte talk about materialism in Hollywood in this song and how money can corrupt the legal system in some cases. Also mentioned are movie stars and singers who are always complaining about their lives. The name of the song is taken from Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous a syndicated TV show in America that provided an inside look at the lives of celebrities. It showed famous people enjoying expensive cars, jewelry, and other luxury items that most people can't afford. The video features cameos from Kyle Gass and Chris Kirkpatrick. They appear in the courtroom scene - Gass plays the prosecutor whilst Kirkpatrick plays the witness "Chadwick Merryweather Hardy III".
