Boombastic is the third studio album by Shaggy. The title song 'Boombastic' was a hit song spending a week at number one on the U. S. R&B chart, and a similar stint atop the UK Singles Chart. This was the first US hit for Shaggy. 'Oh Carolina' was popular in England 2 years earlier, but not in the US. The song uses a sample from 'Baby Let Me Kiss You,' a 1971 song by New Orleans Soul singer King Floyd. The album won a Grammy in 1996 for Best Reggae Album. This video is from 1995 and it looks quite dated.
