"Sex Type Thing" was the first single released by Stone Temple Pilots in 1992 off their debut album Core. Singer Scott Weiland wrote the song as an anti-rape statement, not as a song simply about sex. The song features an aggressive main riff that is instantly recognizable, and is one of the hardest songs in the STP library.
