The original of 'Boogie 2nite' was originally remixed by Seamus Haji. A re-recorded version of this remix by Booty Luv was then released as their debut single as the aforementioned remix by Tweet was never given a full commercial release, despite it being a club hit. The song was released in the United Kingdom via the Hed Kandi label on November 27, 2006. The single received favourable reviews and become a hit with DJs. It peaked at number 2 in its third week in the UK Singles Chart and spent 8 weeks in the top 10. It reached number 7 in the Dutch Top 40. In the UK, it was the remix of the track by Seamus Haji that was promoted as the main version of the single while the DB Boulevard version was used for the music video.
