Blue Jean was a single off Bowie's adlbum Tonight 1984. The track was the a transatlantic Top Ten hit and the video, a 22-minute short film directed by Julien Temple, reflected Bowie's long-standing interest in combining music with drama. This video won Bowie his only Grammy to date, for Best Short-Form Music Video. This is one of only two tracks on the album to be written entirely by Bowie, it was released as a single ahead of the album.
