"Please Stay" is a pop music song written by Australian singer Kylie Minogue, Richard Stannard, Julian Gallagher and John Themis for Minogue's seventh album Light Years (2000). It was a top ten hit in the United Kingdom, peaking at number ten, becoming Minogue's twentieth top ten hit. In Australia the song reached number fifteen on the ARIA Singles Chart, shipping over 35, 000 copies, being certified gold. Kylie's record label's decision to release the Latin sounding song as a single angered many of her fans who preferred the song "Your Disco Needs You". The song would be released the following month, but would only be made available in select territories.
