"Smooth" is a song by Carlos Santana and Rob Thomas of the rock group Matchbox Twenty. Thomas's original planned to have George Michael singing. However after hearing the song being sung by Thomas, Santana decided to have him record the final version. It was a massive hit spending 12 weeks at number one in 1999. The song won three Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals. It has a Latin feel and the dancing in the video really makes you wanna join in.
