It's great news to hear that the New York Dolls are due to released another album at the end of April, which will be named "Live At the Filmore East". Their music now span's over three and half decades and they have been major influnences in what was to come in the punk rock era, and even later; the Dolls' visual style influenced the look of many new wave and glam metal groups, and their playing style set the tone for many later rock and roll bands. To give you a taste of them, click on the link below and enjoy...

Lastest news from Billboard is that Genesis is making a return to the big screen for the launch of its upcoming live DVD. The prog-rock veterans, who hit the road for a comeback last year on the "Turn It on Again" tour, will participate in a special Q&A session next month that will be beamed via satellite live into 20 Odeon cinemas across Britain on the 20 May but the band will not perform.

My boyfriend has just come back from Dublin, and while he was there, he was lucky enough to go and see U2 3D Concert Film, he said it was awesome and ask me to spread the word to any fans out there who might have the opportunity to see it. It's the first live-action movie to be shot, produced, and screened exclusively with digital 3-D technology and the film is composed of footage from several shows from U2's Vertigo Tour in 2006. Being based in Marbella, I might have to wait until I go back to Dublin to catch it, which is a bummer but if anybody else gets to see it, I would to love to hear what you thought of it...

You can always rely on Bjork to be a little different and contraversial...at her first concert in mainland China Sunday (March 2) it may now be her last , after she chanted 'Tibet' several times during 'Declare Independence' the closing song in her set at the Shanghai International Gymnastic Center. I for one think it was a very brave thing to so and slaute her....she rock's.....

What a amazing vibrant and fun kick off to the Brits last night with Mika and Beth Ditto, who looked gorgeous in a pink number and the stage was just fabalously glam and bright, I loved it. This was folowed by Rhianna with 'The Klaxons' who put on a brillant show, accompanied by a light show that reminded me of one I saw once, off the pyramids in Egypt, truly dazzling. The Mark Ronson set was pure class with Adele, Daniel Merriweather and the finale was the one and only, sexy sultry much loved Amy Whinehouse. There was lots and lots more but these are my favourite moments and All in all a fab night which was hosted by non other than 'The Osmond's' clan..... Can't wait for next year...

Hi guys, brillant news....one of my favourite bands the 'Counting Crows' have announced that they will be one of the headliners at this year's O2 Wireless Festival on 06 July, at London Hyde Park. It must be their year, as they are also due to release their new album 'Saturday Night and Sunday Morning' on March 24, the first since their Hard Candy album released in 2002. I love their cover of Jodi Mitchel Big Yellow Taxi..it rocked...

Its nice see stars giving back a little and this can certainly said be of Madonna. She hosted a star-studded fundraiser for Malawi orphans on Wednesday night (06.02.08). Madonna says "I want to put Raising Malawi on the map. I want credibility as a philanthropic organisation. I want to inspire people. I don't want them to just write me a cheque - I want them to give me a piece of their heart. A huge A-list turned up such as, Tom Cruise and wife Katie Holmes, Heidi Klum, Demi Moore and husband Asthon Kutcher, Lucy Liu, Gwen Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale, Drew Barrymore, Salma Hayek, Dita Von Teese, Nelly Furtado and Madonna’s 13-year-old daughter Lourdes. Good for you Madonna the world needs more of your kind...

CLEANED-UP pop star Pete Doherty’s luck has turned – he is booked to play London’s Royal Albert Hall. This is just weeks after skint Pete, was performing at birthday parties for £100 a time. With Amy on the mend, hopefully we will see the same for Pete, who appears to winning his battle with drugs. Pete will perform without his band as he works on his debut solo album.

David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly planning to adopt a baby girl, The soccer star, who was moved by his recent trip to war torn Sierra Leone, is trying to convince his wife to open their home to an orphan from Africa. Its great to hear that a privileged family such as the Beckham's are willing to share their good fortune and happiness. Victoria - who has three sons, Brooklyn, eight, Romeo, five, and two-year-old Cruz with David – has always wanted a girl and has been collecting fashion accessories to one day hand to her future daughter.

Now this will be an album worth waiting for... The former Jam star is collaborating with a number of fellow Brit rockers on the follow-up to 2005's 'As Is Now', such as Noel Gallagher and the multi talented guitarist from Blur.. There is currently no release date for the album, which is rumoured to be a double.

So if the rumours are correct then, The Spice Girls group - who have cancelled concerts in China, South Africa, Australia and Argentina - reportedly scrapped the dates after Geri accused Victoria of being insensitive and boasting about her gorgeous supportive husband David Beckham. So one has to wonder just how well these girls really get on or if its all just one big show.......... The Spice Girls tour will now finish in Toronto, Canada, on February 26

Rocker Courtney Love, who Rolling Stone has called 'the most controversial woman in the history of rock' is reportedly dating English musician, artist and poet, Pete Doherty the lead singer of the Babyshambles. This should make for an interesting combination as the two have a lot of similar taste in various past times to say the least...watch this space cannot wait to see what happens here...

The following artists are being considered, Madonna, the Beastie Boys and Donna Summer. They have all been nominated for induction into the US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, an industry report says. Also in the running are fabalous Leonard Cohen, Chic, the Dave Clark Five and Afrika Bambaataa, according to Billboard magazine. The nominees are chosen by a committee and are whittled down to a final list of five by more than 600 music experts. Those acts will enter the hall, which is based in Cleveland, Ohio, in March. Musicians can be considered for the honour 25 years after their first recording. Last year’s inductees were REM, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Van Halen, the Ronettes and Patti Smith. Once included, the artists are featured in the Museum’s Hall of Fame exhibit. This includes a computerised jukebox containing every song of every inductee and a film on three big screens recounting their careers and music. I am sure Madonna is a lock as is John Mellencamp. What are you thoughts, is there anybody else out there that you think should be on this list....

I have just finished reading Eric Clapton book and if your a fan, I can highly recommend it. The book span's over Clapton's career, which has endured for more than 40 years, resulting in 18 Grammy Awards and he has earned the distinct honor of being the only triple inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Considered one of the world's finest guitarists, Clapton was a member of such seminal rock bands as Cream and Blind Faith. He also created countless hits as part of his solo career beginning in 1970 with the release of the self-titled Eric Clapton album following through to 2005's Back Home. Recently and for first time the full breadth of Clapton's musical works is contained in one set, Complete Clapton is a 2-disc career-spanning album released by Reprise Records in stores now. The album features songs from two co-produced albums, Riding With the King, a collaboration with iconic blues man BB King, and The Road To Escondido, a partnership with long time friend and guitar great J.J. Cale. And to put the icing on the cake for all Clapton's fan, the following concert has been announced...brillant
STEVE WINWOOD and ERIC CLAPTONThree Nights Only at MADISON SQUARE GARDEN, New YorkFebruary 25th, 26th, 28th, 2008(New York, NY) -- On the heels of a stunning collaboration at the Chicago Crossroads Guitar Festival in July of 2007 and after much speculation, Steve Winwood and Eric Clapton announced today three eagerly anticipated concerts at New York's Madison Square Garden. In what will be one of the must see shows of this decade Winwood and Clapton will perform together February 25th, 26th, 28th, 2008.

This is definitely a must for me if it comes about, to see the lives and careers of the Sex Pistols turned into a pantomime, a brillant concept.
I loved them in my punk days and I know this would make fantastic and interesting entertainment.
According to reports, Julian Temple, who put together the infamous "The Great Rock & Roll Swindle" film about the punk legends, is considering this after their recent reunion gigs in London and La. He also hopes John Lydon will appear in the production..how wicked would that be, can you imagine John Lydon in Panto...bring it on.....
Julian temple also said : "I don't know whether we'd get (former Sex Pistols manager) Malcolm (McClaren) to play 'The Big Bad Witch' or whatever, but it's a funny idea anyway."

As we all know Britney is having a pretty tough time of it at the moment and the lastest bit of advice has come from The X Factor judge Simon Cowell, who has offered the following advice, "stop being stupid" and face up to real life and that she should realise that she is luckier than many people around the world..... mmm am not that sure that this is really what she needs to hear right now...I believe a much need break and for her to surround herself with people who love her and will look out for her, this must be difficult for her to find in such a fickle, false circles she travels in....... Lets hope 2008 gets a little better for Britney....

I brought in 2008 with a glass of chilled champagne in Orange Square, Marbella with very loud Spanish band in the background pumping out hard core Flameco and then settled on my couch to watch 'Hootenany" with Jools Holland on BBC. It had a fantastic lineup of live music, such as Kylie, Paul McCarthy, Mika, Madeness, Kate Nash, Kaiser Cheifs, Duffy, Lulu, Seasick Steve and Eddie Floyd. Jools also treated us to two duo's, one with the awesome British Soul Singer and actress Ruby Turner, which had me dancing around my living room and and the other with Kylie, singing, "I Should be So Lucky"......all in all a fabalous show, if you missed it, you can check it on on ttp://www.bbc.co.uk/later/series30/hootenanny/.....its definitely worth a watch....
