audiotube moves ahead!
3:13 PM on Oct. 28, 2007
hey just wanted to update everyone on whats happening here at audiotube! we are still in beta, as you can see, so you will be pleased to know that a lot of really cool features and functionality will be coming your way as we continue to update the site! lots of work going on behind the scenes on just about everything, we have decided that features and functionality are more important than good looks or that tacky web 2.0 stuff everyone is pimping.

we all digg music here - its like a pre-req for coming on board. its pretty exciting being involved in all this i gotta say. i think just about everyone working on this project is a music lover so it makes it even more fun!

anyway, the network module was just rolled out, as you can see its pretty much a full-on social networking engine so you can sign up, create friends, post images and all that jazz and share them with your friends. you can make stuff private if you like as well. the blogs are pretty easy to use and you can embed images and videos and all that jazz.

the groups are also online - we started to set up a few groups, mainly the fan-club type stuff, if you want to check them out - just hit groups and then 'browse' to see if theres anything there that interest you... heres the link

http://audiotube.com/network/user_groups_browse.php

anyways, just a update!

peace out
audioman

Whoa, I've just seen the latest groups on the front page of the network section. Fantastic. I doubt that it had anything to do with my suggestion but it's great to see that we're still getting some useful stuff added to the site.

I really like the groups section and I have a suggestion... would it be possible to have something on the front page of that groups bit to let us know about groups that have just been created? That would be really useful.

As it is at the moment you either have to search for a specific band or remember the number of groups that each genre had the last time you logged in.
